The Process
Diarmuid Sexton — I've always loved clean, clear design that works hard behind the scenes to make life easier for people.
I originally qualified as a civil engineer from UCC in 2009, but in 2012 I found my way into web design and haven’t looked back since. What started as a freelance pivot quickly became a full-time career. Over the years, I’ve worked with hundreds of clients and now specialise in building clean, fast, user-friendly websites for doctors, dentists, and SMBs.
I love design — especially functional design — and I’m always aiming for that feeling where a website just works, effortlessly, without the client or website visitor needing to think.
Originally from Adare in County Limerick, I now live in Dublin with my partner Emi. However, my first love was GAA, playing both hurling and football with Adare and going on to represent my county in hurling. I love the freedom that freelancing offers me, and if I'm not at my desk I could be cycling around the city, running, golfing, snowboarding or listening to music somewhere or other.

If you have a logo and branding, great. If not, I can create a few logo options which you can then choose one from with a couple of revisions - see pricing here. The rest of the website design will follow the logo colours, style and font.
Once I receive the content from you, the website will be live within 2-3 weeks.
You will need to provide a list of services, fees, forms, staff, practice information, contact details, and anything else you feel is relevant. I will flesh out the rest of the content, and you’ll have a chance to review and edit it before we go live.
All payments are securely processed by Stripe. Stripe account are quick to set up — usually takes less than 10 minutes. Funds are deposited directly into your bank account every few days. Fees are 1.5% + 25c per transaction.
I always recommend showing staff faces as it increases trust and familiarity for potential patients.
Getting a professional photographer is optional - it can be a good idea to get nice photos of your staff, team and practice. However, it is not always necessary to get a professional photographer - sometimes a good phone camera in the right lighting can work fine.
Stock photos and icons will be used in other areas as required.
Yes, the client is able to update the content and images on the website via a simple to use Content Management System (CMS) - watch 2-min demo.
You will not be able to update the design and layout - this is complex and requires an experienced designer/coder to carry out these updates. In my experience, most updates are very simple and can be carried out via the CMS. Any larger updates are priced on spec.
The Local Enterprise Office provides a grant of 50% of the project up to a value of €2,500. With online payments, you qualify for the Trading Online Voucher and it is a relatively easy process to get approved.
Example: If the total project cost is €3,000, then you will receive a grant of €1,500.
There is no maintenance or plugin updates as are sometimes associated with Wordpress websites. All websites are built in Webflow which has in-built security monitoring and zero-maintenance. The only ongoing costs are annual hosting.
If you need any major changes in the future (like redesigning a section or creating new sections), I can provide a quote based on the update.
I will host and manage the website using Webflow, a future-proofed, modern platform with cutting edge features. Hosted sites feature world-class performance and reliability — SSL, 99.99% uptime — and load fast for everyone, wherever they are.
If you require email addresses to be created for your practice, I offer this service also. I can set up Google Workspace for however many emails you require - i.e. info@yourpractice.ie. I can also migrate old emails to the new accounts. See pricing here. Google Workspace costs €80/year/user.
All forms on websites are fully GDPR compliant, ensuring that personal data is collected, processed, and stored in line with regulations. Data can be removed at any point at the client or patients request.
The website is hosted on Webflow, a trusted third-party platform. They provide constant security and monitoring of the website to industry standards. The website is also GDPR and SOC 2 Type II compliant. All access is protected by 2-factor authentication.
